My earliest photographic experiences were with still lifes. The subjects of my images were very patient with me, and as they did not move, were often the only well executed images on the roll. As I became more experienced as a photographer, the challenge of making exciting images out of ordinary things certainly had the effect of "honing my eye". I see better now because I learned to take the time to look
