I photograph landscapes... because I'm there. No photograph can capture the true effect of a magnificent landscape, and yet, it is the fact that I am moved by what I see that compels me to try and capture it. Alas, I always fall short. Having created far too many disappointing images of landscapes, I tend to revert to what I know does work - form, line and repetition of the two. Today, be they urban or natural, most of my landscapes are shaped by the coincidence of nature and patterns; order in chaos.
